I have three leg braces that I would be happy to give to anyone who would pay the shipping cost(s). One is 29-1/8 inch length with steel rods on both sides and has three leather straps, one starting from the thigh, middle and to the ankle. It is about 8-1/2 inches wide, give or take. The second brace is a calf brace about 15-1/2 inches from below the knee to the foot. The third brace is a 9-inch calf strap which is leather. Maria, New Jersey, gabby24222@aol.com

We have a Rally SC151 3-wheel scooter with a basket which my mom used for only a few months before she died a year ago; it is practically new. We would be willing to sell it for $800; it was $1800 new. I live in Connecticut but the scooter is in Maine, so we could deliver anywhere in between. If this is anything you would be interested in, let me know and I can give more details. Thank you! Diane, Connecticut, dwdynia@yahoo.com, 203-467-6127

I need any information on any type of brace that corrects, or at least partially corrects, a knee that is hyper-extended. Specifically how is the brace designed, what materials were used and who fabricated it. Also, I would appreciate evaluations of any post-polio clinics in the US. Sharon, Salt Lake City, UT, SLCinSLC@comcast.net

I have worn my current brace for 13 years and am having trouble locating a company that can replicate this brace of metal, leather, with ankle hinges. Wright and Phillips have been disappointing and staff seems unfamiliar with working with these materials. Also, the special shoes I have had made recently are a poor fit compared with others. Anyone out there have a suggestions? Paul, Walled Lake, Michigan, kaycdake@ameritech.net
